India Center, the nerve center of Indian Americans in Westchester, has been bringing to the community the rich and ancient heritage of India through music and arts. The Center provides opportunities to learn the various Indian Languages besides music, dance and other arts. Several music concerts of all genres conducted by India Center in the past years have been a feature in Westchester for the connoisseurs and music lovers. With a visit to the Center on a weekend, one can witness the activities of this vibrant community. India Center can justifiably be proud of providing a conducive ambience for the healthy and all-round development of India’s music lovers and aspirants. In keeping with the aims and objectives of the Center, it is presenting a program of classical instrumental music. The world renowned Hidayat Khan will show case his music on SITAR and will be accompanied by equally famous Enayet Hossain on TABLA. This magical mehfil (classical concert) will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Irvington High School Auditorium, Irvington, NY at 6:30 PM. |
