With four Grammy Awards, 16 Grammy nominations, collaborations with musical greats such as Paul Simon, and over 50 years of musical excellence, South Africa's Ladysmith Black Mambazo is a powerhouse on the world music scene. Nelson Mandela awarded them with the title “South Africa’s Cultural Ambassadors to the world.” Their music comes from the soul with complex harmonies, exquisite dance moves and stories of South Africa.  Each concert reflects a deep respect for both their cultural and personal history. Ladysmith Black Mambazo is ever-evolving with an eye toward their long-term musical legacy. Through the years, the original members have welcomed a younger generation into their distinguished group, passing along the traditions of storytelling, peace, love, and harmony to millions of people. Ladysmith Black Mambazo founder Joseph Shabalala looks to these young men to carry on his dream to “Keep South Africa alive in people’s hearts” for years to come.
