Westchester Collaborative Theater Presents: Unintended Consequences: A Reading of One-Act Plays
Ossining, NY – From Thursday, July 14 through Sunday, July 17, Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) will present “Unintended Consequences: A Reading of One Act Plays,” directed by Karina Ramsey, executive producer of WCT and the director of WCT’s 2015 Living Art event. The five plays, a satisfying mix of touching dramas, hilarious comedies and bittersweet dramedies, were developed and dramaturged through WCT’s ongoing lab workshop process where member actors and writers bring new pieces to life. The Sunday July 17th performance will be followed by a talk-back with the playwrights and performers. “Unintended Consequences: A reading of One Act Plays,” will take place at the Steamer Co. Gallery, 117 Main St., 2nd Floor, Ossining, NY. The seating available for these performances is limited. Advance purchase is strongly suggested. Tickets are $15 general admission Friday and Sunday with discounts available for WCT/OAC members, seniors, students and groups of 5+. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.wctheater.org.

The ensemble of WCT actors who will perform includes: Sherman Alpert, Chris Arena, Enid Breis, Jim Brownold, Susan Courtney, Michelle Daneshvar, Miguel Angel Garcia, Donna James, Phyllis Kirigin, Erik Langner, Suzanne Ochs, Pat O’Neill and Cathy Schaeffer.
The Westchester Collaborative Theater is a multicultural, cooperative theater company located in Ossining, NY, dedicated to developing new work for the stage and bringing live theater to the community. It is comprised of local playwrights, actors, and directors who employ a Lab approach in which new stage works are nurtured through an iterative process of readings, critiques, and rewrites. When work is ready for production, it is produced for the public at various local venues.
