QR Codes
Ever wondered about how those little pictures of tiny black and white squares that you snap with your smartphone to do all kinds of things came into being? These are Quick Response (or QR) codes—mobile phone readable bar codes. They are pretty much everywhere: on billboards, in magazines, on tickets, ads, marketing material, business cards and so much more.
If you ever tried to figure out what to do with them and how to use them, you’re welcome to join us at our next monthly meeting of the Westchester PC Users Group on September 1, 2016. You will learn all about these QR codes from one of our members, Pierre Darmon. His presentation will give you all the little secrets about QR codes and how useful they can be. Pierre will demonstrate their use for going to a website, capturing a contact for your phone and sending an email. Best of all, you’ll even learn how to create them yourself.
The meeting will be held at 7 pm at Keller Williams Realty, 120 Bloomingdale Road, 1st floor, White Plains NY 10605.
WPCUG meetings are free and open to the public. All are welcome – members and non-members.
