Join the Holocuast & Human Rights Education Center reception and film "Watchers of the Sky," part of a new series presented by the Emelin Theatre in partnership with the HHREC. This series will include three films that cover human riights issues.

"Watchers of the Sky" interweaves four stories of remarkable courage, compassion and determination to uncover the forgotten life of Raphael Lemkin, the man who created the word "genocide" and believed the law could protect the world from mass atrocities.  Inspired by Samantha Power's Pulitzer Prize-winning book, "A Problem from Hell," "Watchers of the Sky" takes you on a provacative journey from Nuremberg to the Hague, from Bosina to Darfur, from criminality to justice, from apathy to action.

Please join us prior to the film to meet Producer, Kerry Propper and Executive Producer, Elizabeth Bohart.  Mr. Propper serves on the Executive Board of Voices of Rwanda preserving the testimony of survivors of the 1994 genocide.  Ms. Bohart serves on the New York Advisory of Peace First and was a founding member of Malato, the non-profit organization dedicated to bringing positive lasting change to Malawi, Africa.

Reservations are recommended for this free event.  There is a suggested donation of $10.
