Idra Novey is the author of the debut novel Ways to Disappear, currently a finalist for the L.A. Times Book Prize for First Fiction, winner of the 2016 Brooklyn Eagles Prize and a New York Times Editors’ Choice. Alex Mar is a writer based in her hometown of New York City. Her first book, Witches of America (Farrar, Straus & Giroux), was a New York Times Notable Book of 2015 in non-fiction.
