The Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services will hold its annual public hearing on Friday, September 22, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Westchester County Center, 198 Central Avenue, White Plains. The department will unveil the goals and objectives of the 2018 area plan on the proposed use of funds from the Older Americans Act and the New York State Community Services for the Elderly Program. The hearing provides a venue for individuals to learn about and speak out on concerns that affect Westchester seniors and their families. Registration is not required to attend or speak at the meeting. Requests for a sign language interpreter or other accommodations can be made by Wednesday, September 6, 2017, to Rose Pasquale at 914-813-6415. The plan will be available starting Monday, September 18, 2017, at the department’s office located at 9 South First Avenue, 10th Floor, Mount Vernon, NY, 10550. It will also be distributed at the public hearing. Written comments on the plan must be sent by Friday, October 6, 2017, to Rose Pasquale at the same address. |
