GPL Cooks! Meet-up

Friday, October 06, 2017  11:00am  12:30pm

Welcome to the GPL Cooks! Cookbook Meet Up. This is a group that gathers about 3 – 4 times a year to try out new cooking traditions and styles using cookbooks from the library’s collection. Participants check out one of a selection of cookbooks, try some of the recipes, and bring one of their favorite creations to our meet up! If you like to cook, discuss cooking, and feel like trying something new—this event is for you!

The GPL Cooks cookbook club is looking for people who like to cook, eat and talk about food. Members prepare food at home from recipes found in the library's cookbook collection. As food is shared, the discussion focuses on preparation, ingredients and what we've learned from preparing this dish.

This fall we will be focusing on American Regional Cuisine from New England to Hawaii, tasting and discussing what makes each region unique. Does the climate affect the cuisine? How do the cooking style and ingredients differ in each region?

Registration is required. To register, click here.
