Common Ground is a community conversation where participants can express their viewpoints and listen to different perspectives in a civic environment. The YWCA of White Plains and Central Westchester, the White Plains Public Library and the White Plains League of Women Voters are collaborating to continue the Common Ground Conversations we started last year. We will use the World Café model to structure our conversations. Participants will create small groups and will be paired with a table captain, who will help keep the discussion on track. We will mix the groups up a few times during each event, to maximize the number of people who interact with each other. There will be time for both dialogue and reflection. 3rd Thursday of every month January – May 2020. Topic for March 26: Immigration—How to be a welcoming community? |
