Please join the Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center for a Live Discussion with actor Jesse Eisenberg and directors Jonathan & Claudine Jakubowicz for a presentation and question and answer about the film, Resistance. Resistance is based on a true story of mime Marcel Marceau’s work with the French Resistance to save tens of thousands of orphans during the Holocaust. Long before he rose to international fame as a mime, Marcel Marceau put his fledgling career as an artist on hold to spirit Jewish refugee children out of Nazi-occupied France, even as his own father was murdered at Auschwitz. This discussion will take place on August 3 at 7 p.m. from the safety and comfort of your own home. Please use the link below to register: https://hhrecny.z2systems.com/np/clients/hhrecny/event.jsp?event=826 Resistance is available on demand through Amazon, Apple TV, Direct TV, Vudu, Xbox, Xfinity, Spectrum, and YouTube. This evening is co-sponsored by Congregation Emanu-El of Westchester, Community Synagogue of Rye, Congregation B’nai Yisrael, Congregation KTI, Greenwich Reform Synagogue, Hebrew Institute of White Plains, Jewish Community Center of Harrison, Westchester Hebrew High School, and Young Israel of Scarsdale. |
