A free program presented by Support Connection, Inc. Open to people nationwide who have or have had breast, ovarian or gynecological cancer. Pre-registration is required, no later than 5 pm (NY time) on Mon., May 10. For information or to register, call Support Connection: 914-962-6402 or 800-532-4290. Art full of emotion! Relax, unwind and enjoy yourself in this virtual drawing program. After looking at various abstract pieces of art, create your own work of art based on an emotion you choose. What colors represent that emotion? What types of line, shape, texture? Explore different mark making techniques that will make your abstract art come to life. Appropriate for all skill levels from beginners to more advanced. Abstract art can be created in just black and white but creating in color is ideal. Required supplies are just pencil and paper. If you have additional supplies (color pencils, pastels, paint, canvas or thicker paper) you’re welcome to use them. INSTRUCTOR: Lauren Hollick, Program Director and Teaching Artist at The Art Effect. Lauren will provide easy to follow instructions. |
