Open to women nationwide who have been diagnosed with ovarian or gynecological cancer. Pre-registration is required. To register, call Support Connection, 914-962-6402 or 800-532-4290. Must register no later than 5 pm (NY time) on Fri., September 24. After being diagnosed with ovarian or gynecological cancer, a woman faces a multitude of questions and concerns, such as coping with side-effects and treatments; treatment changes; exploring and participating in clinical trials. The physical and emotional roller coaster and uncertainty that ensue can be very overwhelming and impact all aspects of one’s life. YOU ARE NOT ALONE in any of this. Join us for an open discussion to talk openly with others who are facing the same types of challenges. The discussion will be co-led by a Support Connection Peer Counselor, and a volunteer facilitator who is a longtime ovarian cancer survivor diagnosed with stage 3C ovarian cancer 16 years ago. |
