Ellen O’Connell, White Plains resident and retired English teacher, will moderate a discussion of /Smile: The Story of a Face/ (2021) by Sarah Ruhl, playwright, MacArthur genius, and Pulitzer Prize winner. Ruhl reflects on her long and arduous battle with Bell’s palsy after giving birth to twins and finds hope where it is least expected.
