For the September sessions, the group will be discussing James Joyce's great novella (or long short-story) "The Dead." The text can be found in The Norton Anthology of Short Fiction (8th edition). For September 12, read pp. 730-751 in Norton (through the sentence "The horse was whipped up and the cab rattled off along the quay amid a chorus of laughter and adieus").
