Award-winning author AMALIA HOFFMAN will share her personal journey and inspiration in writing her Junior Library Guild and Gold Selection book, The Brave Cyclist: A True Story of a Holocaust Hero in a program for ages 8 and up. Join in a discussion about how Gino Bartali's heroic acts during the Holocaust can inspire us to achieve social justice and fight antisemitism, racism and bullying. Find out what “Tikun Olam” means and how each one of us can contribute to making the world a better place. The presentation will include viewing pictures from the collection of Gino Bartali’s granddaughter. |
