A retrospective of the work of Virginia Shafer Cox (1924-2006) will be on exhibit in the Martucci Gallery at the Irvington Public Library from June 2 to June 30.  Twenty paintings spanning her artistic career, from Abstract Expressionism of the 1940's to the Color Field Movement of the 1960's will be on view.  An opening reception will be held on Tuesday, June 9, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
