Whole Food Plant-Based: What is it?

Research shows that plant-based diets are a cost-effective, low-risk intervention that may lower blood pressure, HbA1C, and cholesterol levels as well as increase weight loss and reverse many chronic diseases, as well as reduce the number of medications needed to treat chronic diseases and lower heart disease mortality rates. To be covered in this first of two lectures: overview of what is and what is not included, the myth of healthy oils, how do I get calcium and protein, what about supplements. The second lecture will be December 17, 7-9 pm.
