Gardening with native plants in our suburban landscape has many environmental benefits such as reducing outdoor water use, limiting pesticide and fertilizer application, enhancing biodiversity, and improving habitat for native pollinators and birds. Join landscape architect Amanda Bayley, co-founder of PLAN it WILD, for a presentation on how to beautify your own yard with native plants. Attendees will receive “seed bombs” and be taken on a tour of the native plant gardens at Teatown and Wildflower Island following the presentation. Refreshments will be provided. For adults. This program is generously funded through the William and Henriette Granville Suhr Fund for the Environment, a fund of the Westchester Community Foundation. https://www.teatown.org/events/native-plant-gardening-workshop/ |
