Acclaimed soprano Justine Aronson and the Music from Copland House ensemble offer a program of works by some of the most formidable early-20^th century Viennese musical figures, who found success, solace, or frustration as emigres in the New World. The program includes rarely-performed works by the seminal composers Gustav Mahler and Arnold Schoenberg, renowned professor Alexander Zemlinsky, famed conductor (and gifted composer) Bruno Walter, and the notorious Alma Mahler, muse to turn-of-the-20^th-century Europe. Also features oboist Ron Gal-Ed, clarinetist Alan R. Kay, violinists Jennifer Leshnower and Siwoo Kim, violist Danielle Farina, cellist Alexis Pia Gerlach, and pianist Michael Boriskin.
