An Open Discussion: Hormonal Therapies for Breast Cancer

Thursday, April 11, 2019  06:30pm  08:00pm

Open to people living with breast, ovarian or gynecological cancer, who have taken or are taking hormonal therapy for estrogen receptor positive cancer.  To learn more or to pre-register (pre-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED) call Support Connection at 914-962-6402 or 800-532-4290.

Are you taking an estrogen blocker, such as Tamoxifen, Evista (Raloxifene) or Fareston (Toremifene)?  Has your doctor prescribed an aromatase inhibitor such as Arimidex (Anastrozole), Aromasin (Exemestane), or Femara (Letrozole)? Despite proven medical benefits, are you experiencing side effects that undermine your confidence and quality of life?  You are not alone.

This program provides an opportunity to share your opinions, thoughts and experiences with others who know how it feels. It is not an educational forum; there will be no medical professional speaking about the science, benefits or protocols. It is an open discussion, a chance to share coping tips, information and support with other women as you navigate the challenges related to these drugs.

Location     Support Connection office, 40 Triangle Center, Suite 100, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598
Contact      Free, but pre-registration is required
