Breakfast & Discussion
God, Torah, and Israel in the
Next Era of Judaism
With Guest Speaker: Dan Libenson,
founder of the Institute for the Next Jewish Future and
host of Judaism Unbound
Sunday, January 6, 2019, 9:30 am
at Temple Israel of New Rochelle
Rabbi Yitz Greenberg has asserted that we are living in a
transitional age, on the cusp of the “Third Era” of Judaism.
Just as Judaism changed profoundly from the Biblical Era to
the Rabbinic Era after the destruction of the Second Temple in
the year 70 C.E., Greenberg believes that Judaism will be quite
different in the next era from what we have grown up with.
Drawing on years of extensive interviews with a variety of
Jewish leaders, Dan Libenson will share some initial thoughts
on the future of the three traditional parts of Judaism -- God,
Torah, and Israel (that is, the People of Israel) - offering a clear-eyed, honest and
ultimately hopeful analysis of how synagogues might weather the storm ahead and
play an important role in the next Jewish future.”
