Saw Mill River Audubon Program: Saw-whet Owls in Your Backyard

Thursday, January 10, 2019  07:00pm

Saw-whet Owls are no bigger than robins. They also may be one the most common owls in forested habitats of northern United States and southern Canada but are rarely seen. Trudy Battaly and Drew Panko have captured and banded saw-whets in Southern New York since 2004 at Westchester Community College, Harriman State Park and other locations. Find out what Drew and Trudy have discovered about our local Saw-whet Owls. Free and open to the public. Check our calendar at sawmillriveraudubon.org for information about parking and if in doubt about the weather.
