Dugout canoes were a staple for Native Americans in this region. As their main mode of transportation, this is how native people would travel on the Hudson River. Participants will be using the traditional fire burning method to help make a dugout canoe for an exhibit in our nature center. Registration required at (914) 968-5851. |
