Entire Lost Jewish Community of Lublin

The Lublin 43 Thousand Project refers to the estimated number of

Jewish men, women, and children residing in the Polish City of Lublin

in 1939 on the eve of the outbreak of World War II.

This project was created by the Lublin Polish organization

"Grodzka Gate - NN Theatre."

 

This presentation will explore why and how the Grodzka Gate brings back and

honors the memory of the 43 Thousand.

 

Biography

Olivier Szlos is a Riverdale resident and a Paris native, and an occasional

visitor at Temple Israel events and services.

 

A fundraising professional, he has worked in the nonprofit secotr for over 20 years helping

several organizations such as the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust.
