“Westchester Women Speak Out”: A Local History Presentation

Wednesday, July 17, 2019  07:00pm  08:30pm

To celebrate next year's 100th anniversary of women's vote in the United States, this presentation pays homage to women of all backgrounds with a connection to Westchester whose words have contributed powerfully to public deliberation and social, political and humanitarian causes. Our speaker is DANA RUBIN, an internationally known women's advocate and leadership communicator. She will focus on women’s speech, their ambitions, and the impact they made - drawing on speeches from the online Keynote Women Speech Bank. She will feature speeches by Sojourner Truth, Amelia Earhart, Lorraine Hansberry and Meredith Vieira.
