Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center-Monuments and Memorials: Creation and Controversy Monuments and Memorials are intentional and purposeful creations designed to provide a bridge to the past, to lives, and to events. This program explains how Germany has confronted Holocaust history by creating different kinds of remembrances. Using a slide presentation, Steven Goldberg and Julia Scallero, Co-Directors of Education of the Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center, will discuss various types of memorials, including the most recently completed sites.
