Golden Apple Bicycling Ride Showcasing Westchester

Sunday, October 13, 2019  08:00am  03:00pm

Registration for Westchester County, NY’s premiere fall classic road bike ride, the Westchester Cycle Club’s 2019 Golden Apple Ride

is open to the public, and the wheels have already begun turning towards a fantastic riding event just 30 days into the future,

on Sunday Oct. 13, 2019!

The event, in tune with New York’s state fruit and its special golden variety, will start and end at Metro North’s Goldens Bridge train station to make it easier to take the train to the ride (don't forget your bike permit for the train), along with plenty of parking for those driving

or riding to the event.

We have three beautiful routes to choose from, featuring seasonal leaves galore, lakes, reservoirs, and horse farms:

Candy Apple - Our sweetest route, at 35 miles! For those looking to get out for a few hours or prefer riding at a more leisurely pace You’ll still ride the core of our scenic Westchester roads but without some of the big climbs

Golden Apple - A WCC Classic. This is a challenging 45-mile ride with amazing scenery. Every climb comes with a reward, either a great descent, a spectacular view or the road itself. You’ll ride through the core of our scenic Northern Westchester roads. Recommended for stronger riders ready to hit the hills.

Full Manzana – 73 miles to cap off your cycling season with this challenging route! Earn your post-ride lunch and enjoy the whole manzana (Spanish for “apple”) as you see the best of the Hudson Valley’s foliage! Challenging climbs and stunning roads.

All routes feature:

· well stocked rest stops

· SAG (support-and-gear)

· catered lunch at the finish
