The school district and the Bedford Teachers' Association, in conjunction with the high school English Department, would like to invite you to participate in our Fox Read. You can participate by reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. There will be opportunities to join community members in discussions led by BCSD faculty on themes, issues, and ideas inspired by the novel.  The discussions will be held at our libraries in the fall and there will be a final event at the Bedford Playhouse on November 14th.

OCTOBER 3rd
Literary Discussion with English teacher Francis Hughes and History teacher Erin Filner from 5:45-6:45PM

Learning from Diverse Perspectives: Author Ruta Sepetys writes, "...through reading we can be united in story, study, and remembrance. Books join us as a global reading community, but more importantly, a global human community striving to learn from the past." In Curious Incident, we are challenged to see the world from a different perspective than most of us experience. But what other stories of experience do the characters offer us? How can we use our understanding of all of the characters to better understand each other and better unite us as a community?OCTOBER 17th
