Artist, Dawn Leone invites residents of Mount Vernon to participate in an open call for self-portraits.

Self Portraits (or selfies) can be taken on a camera phone or any type of digital camera and sent to  .  Portraits can be simple or be more deliberate in terms of clothing, facial expression, background, etc.  

Self-portraits will be rendered by the artist into a sketch onto a linoleum block.  The block will be carved, then rolled with ink and pressed onto the final surface.  Artist made portraits resemble the actual person in a playful, stylized fashion.  All participants will receive a complimentary artist made portrait.  For examples and more information on the project, please visit the website.

All block-print portraits will be united onto one large patchwork of portrait prints in different color combinations and sizes.
