This program addresses floatable trash, one of the three major water quality issues in the Bronx River. Volunteers will wear adult size waders in the river and help us count the bottles, cans, straws and more we find in the trash boom. Volunteers who can’t fit in our wader sizes will remove and catalog litter on the land alongside the river. Waders, gloves and trash bags will be provided, but please bring your own water. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty and. Sponsored by Entergy and the Westchester Parks Foundation. Meet at the Westchester County Center’s East Lot.
