In addition to her role as the Editor in Chief of WAG magazine, she is the chef writer of the magazine. She is also author of a series of novels. One of these is an historical novel entitled: “Damon: A Novel of Alexander the Great” which focuses on her historical research on the life of this great general of the ancient world. Alexander the Great, was a king of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon. He succeeded his father Philip II to the throne in 336 BC at the age of 20, and spent most of his ruling years conducting a lengthy military campaign throughout Western Asia and Northeastern Africa. His leadership accomplishments and military achievements are still used as a basis for teaching lessons in diverse educational settings today and Ms. Gouveia will share some of what she learned in historical research for her novel based on his life. |
