Ellen O’Connell, White Plains resident and retired English teacher, will moderate a discussion of Hamnet: A Novel of the Plague (2020), by Maggie O'Farrell. This beautiful and timely work, published during the COVID pandemic and focused on the ravages of the plague during Shakespeare’s lifetime, is a winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award for fiction and the Women’s Prize for Fiction.
