The 55th annual Lewisboro Library Fair will be held rain or shine, on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 10 am to 4 pm at Onatru Farm Town Park. Onatru Farm is located at 99 Elmwood Road in South Salem. The Fair highlight is the Book Sale, but it also features “Attic Treasures” and Toy sales, a silent auction, food, music, vintage cars, kids’ games, rides on the Wells Fargo Stagecoach, booths featuring a variety of specialty vendors and a visit from the New Canaan Nature Center's Birds of Prey.
The Fair Pre-Sales, also held at Onatru Farm, are a great warm-up to Fair Day. The Book, Toy and Sporting Goods Pre-Sale is Thursday, September 24 from 5 to 9 pm. The Book Pre-Sale continues Friday, September 25 from 9 am to 5 pm. The Pre-Sale is free for residents of Lewisboro. Non-residents must pay $20 on Thursday night only. There will also be an After-Sale of books and attic treasures on Sunday, September 27 from 10 am to 2 pm.
The Fair’s car show, or Concours d’Elegance, will showcase a wide range of vehicles from show cars to backyard classics, and a special section for green technology vehicles. The Concours is sponsored by Lexus of Mt. Kisco. Awards are given in each of ten categories. All attendees receive dash plates. To register, contact Dean Travalino at 763-5393 or . An array of food is available to please the pickiest of palates as well as homemade baked goods at the Bake Sale Tent. Donations of baked goods are needed, and can be dropped off at the Bake Sale Tent anytime after 10 am on Fair Day.
The Silent Auction will offer opportunities to bid on gift baskets, antique jewelry and toys, tutoring sessions, gift cards for local services, a private earring design workshop for up to 20 friends, a Las Vegas get-a-way and some awesome, exclusive items supplied by CharityGROW, like autographed Star Wars movie posters, Frozen and Marvel Universe animation cels and autographed baseballs from Presidents Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush.
