Library Assistants Training Program

Together with the Westchester Library System and NYLA, the Ossining Public Library is offering The Library Assistant/Technician Training Program at the Ossining Public Library on three consecutive Wednesdays, September 28th, October 5th and October 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

The cost for the program is $215 for NYLA members and $255 for non-NYLA members.  All materials and lunch each day are included in the registration fee.  Space is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.  This is a certificate program that is sponsored by NYLA in cooperation with public library systems around the state.  It is open to individuals already working or newly hired in libraries, or people interested in working in libraries.  To receive a certificate the individual must complete the entire 18 hour program.  The course covers the following topics: Reference Services, Public Services and Technical Services.
