Both whole blood and red cells units will be collected from qualifying candidates.

Although this drive makes it convenient for Pleasantville residents to participate, blood donors from all towns are welcome to come to lend their help.

UPDATE: NEW YORK BLOOD CENTER WELCOMES PREVIOUSLY DEFERRED DONORS WHO LIVED IN THE UK, IRELAND AND FRANCE

The FDA updated its guidance regarding Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (also known as Mad Cow disease, CJD or vCJD), allowing more people to become eligible to donate blood.
