On Thursday, April 13, 2017, Pace University will host Water Cooperation and Conflict: The Local and Global Challenge. This important water summit will convene experts and practitioners from the public, academic and private sectors to discuss collaborative problem-solving strategies for the protection and sharing of water resources, ranging from transboundary conflicts, to local water scarcity, to watershed management. Dr. Peter Gleick, President Emeritus and Chief Scientist at the Pacific Institute, will serve as the Featured Keynote Speaker for the summit. Dr. Gleick is a world-renowned expert on water and climate policy, and an awardee of a coveted MacArthur Foundation Fellowship. He developed the earliest comprehensive work on water and conflict, and helped define the human right to water for the United Nations. |
