Sunday, April 23, 2017, at 2:00pm, Daniel Barbarisi will discuss his new book Dueling with Kings, about his attempt to enter the world of daily fantasy sports and his encounters with several “sharks”—big-time betters and winners. Two major daily fantasy sports companies, Fan Duel and Draft Kings, dominate the field.

Barbarisi is a longtime sports and news journalist, having published over five thousand pieces in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, and The Providence Journal. He has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV programs over the course of his career.  Most recently, he was on staff at The Wall Street Journal, serving as the Yankees beat reporter. He and his wife reside in Boston, Massachusetts.
