Westchester Celebrates Israel@ 69 |

In honor of the 69th anniversary of Israeli Independence, the Westchester Jewish Council in partnership with the JCC of Mid-Westchester and the Jewish Education Project is coordinating a community-wide celebration on Monday, May 1, 7:00-9:00pm at the JCC of Mid-Westchester, 999 Wilmot Road, Scarsdale. The evening will begin with a Yom Hazikaron memorial ceremony followed by a festive Yom Ha’atzmaut – Israel Independence Day - celebration. This event is free and open to the community though RSVP is requested. Click here to RSVP. Highlights of this family-friendly festival include a musical performance by the Israeli band Capaim, an Israeli “shuk” – market - featuring a variety of Israel food and wine, and Israeli dancing. A special teen program, “The Voice, Israel Style’ will give teens an opportunity to perform as a group or solo with Capaim. The teen audience will vote winning groups. |
