Westchester Collaborative Theater

Presents “A Taste of WCT” June 17

A Savory Sampling of Scenes and Monologues

Ossining, NY – On Saturday, June 17 at 2 pm, Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) of Ossining will present A Taste of WCT at the Camille Budarz Theater, Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave., Ossining, NY. This will be a unique opportunity to get a free glimpse into the savory menu of offerings from Westchester’s only ensemble theater company devoted exclusively to developing new works for the stage by local playwrights and performed by skilled actors from Westchester and the surrounding region.

Slated to be showcased are highlights from past performances that evolved from WCT’s play development workshops.

The featured pieces will include: Excerpts from Lot’s Wife by Albi Gorn, a mainstage production directed by WCT Executive Producer Karina Ramsey that debuted at WCT’s new black box performance space at 23 Water St. in March; a mix of comedic and dramatic monologues directed by WCT Executive Director Alan Lutwin from Notes from the Frontlines: Nine Monologues; and excerpts from The Maltese Babka, a staged reading of a tongue-in-cheek homage to film noir by C.J. Ehrlich, directed by Christopher Arena. Seating is general admission.

The WCT member actors performing include: Donna James, Maiysha Jones, Joe Albert Lima, Tom Lloyd, Lynne Marcus, Pat O’Neill, Suzanne Ochs and Marci Stearns.

Westchester Collaborative Theater is a multicultural, cooperative theater company dedicated to developing new work for the stage and bringing live theater to the community. It is comprised of local playwrights, actors, and directors who employ a Lab approach in which new stage works are nurtured through an iterative process of readings, critiques, and rewrites. When work is ready for production, is performed for the public, at our performance space at 23 Water St. on the Ossining waterfront, by the MetroNorth train station.

WCT is committed to furthering theater arts in our community. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and a recipient of production grants from ArtsWestchester and New York State Council on the Arts.
