Bassist and composer Lee Marvin will bring a trio to the Greenburgh Library on Sunday October 15th. Lee is a jazz faculty member at Lehman College and he is enjoying a long career that has included time in the bands of jazz and blues greats Ted Curson, Pinetop Perkins, Melvin Sparks, and Montego Joe. In addition to the trio’s take on jazz standards, the concert will include Lee’s compositions from his two albums for the UnseenRain label: Things I Meant To Say and Fish Cannot Leave Deep Waters.
The trio will feature pianist Noah Haidu and drummer Terry Silverlight. Noah’s third recording as a leader, Infinite Distances, recently earned a 4.5 star review from Downbeat magazine. Terry is a very well established drummer and composer who has seven albums as a leader to his credit. He has worked with Will Lee, Richard Davis, and Barry Miles among many others.
