Join Ferry Sloops for "The Lives and Legends of Hudson River Fish" presented by DEC naturalist and Hudson Valley local, Tom Lake at Shattemuc Yacht Club in Ossining, NY. For decades, fish have swum at the epicenter of environmental awareness and protection on the Hudson River. Within the watershed, 226 species have been documented, 173 considered native. Are these numbers significant—and what does “native” mean? Tom Lake will provide the answers as well as other intriguing facts about the roles fish have played since humans arrived here 12,000 years ago. Admission is FREE and open to the public. Come with a dish to share at 6:30PM and enjoy a potluck dinner or arrive a little before 7:00PM for the presentation. No reservations needed (seating will be first-come, first-served).
